One
of the producers underlying goals is to be visually
outstanding. Using a library of considerable footage available to
us from high technology resources, in addition to original footage of
our own, we will create TECHNOLOGY ! into a visually exciting as well
as informational documentary production. Although we will be people
oriented and story-driven, our goal is to always be image based with
superior photography, dramatic graphics for illustration, sharp (but
not pushed) editing, stories with substance and climaxes, all
appropriately surrounded by a consistent theme of common program
elements. Twin
dynamics are planned that satisfy and encourage viewership of a
younger demographic as well as an older audience that requires
more explicit information about science and technology. The
dual dynamic is achieved by letting the pictures ‘do almost
all the talking’ while using voice-overs to a minimum, as well as
keeping narration succinct, direct, and active. The producers, while
not shying away from first person opportunities, will reserve
‘talking heads’ to only key background development areas.
Kids love the action of tools and rockets. To satisfy them, the
producers will use considerable graphic animation, spectacular space
footage and on scene demonstrations to help answer the questions:
“how?” “why?” etc. |
